Indigenes Await Credible 2023 Census in Kebbi State, Commend Gov. Bagudu and NPC Federal Commissioner Dr. Haliru Bala Jikan-Daudu

Concerned indigenes and residents including over 1555 trainers, trainees, functionaries and ad-hoc staff recruited to conduct the forth-coming 2023 National Population and Housing Census of the National Population Commission in Kebbi State have lauded Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu and the Federal Commissioner representing Kebbi State in National Population Commission (NPC), Dr. Haliru Bala Jikan-Daudu for their current efforts to ensure a smooth, credible and reliable exercise.
The commendation galore came against the backdrop of an official visit by the governor to officially declare the end of a 10-day training of Facilitators and Special Work Force organized by the NPC which took place at Atiku Bagudu Junior Girls Secondary School in Birnin Kebbi recently.
The governor had at the hugely-attended ceremony particularly commended Dr. Haliru Bala Jikan-Daudu and his officials for ensuring the smooth and successful training where he urged them to use their professionalism and expertise to conduct to ensure the accuracy, credibility, reliability and overall success of the forth-coming national head count. He thanked the university dons from accepting to participate in the national exercise which he said would go a long way in furthering unity and tolerance among Nigerians irrespective of ethnicity, creed or sectionalism.
Governor Bagudu was particularly pleased by the involvement of professionals from universities and polytechnics comprising computer scientists, veterinary doctors, social scientists and professors of mathematics in the training programme, assuring them that their decisions were not in vain.
Dr. Haliru Bala Jikan-Daudu had earlier thanked the governor for his support to activities of the NPC in the State, informing him that apart from 1,540 participants selected for the training in three categories, over 30, 000 Kebbi State indigenes were being engaged for the entire census exercise which commences from March 29 to April 2 this year.
Expectedly, many indigenes made of indigenes and residents of the State have taken to the social media to commend the Governor Bagudu and Dr. Haliru Bala Jikan-Daudu for their efforts towards the growth and development of the State. Reproduced below are some of the people’s comments:
